My work.

Name: Elizabeth Flanagan
Title: ‘the eyes are the window to the soul’ - Unknown
Statement: Drug addiction is a complex disease that affects both the addict and those who love them. The baby forms in my work are to portray the innocence in us all. I have removed some of their eyes to depict the loss of a person through misuse of drugs. Through my work I hope to demonstrate the physical and mental deterioration that narcotics have on the human form.

This artist is by far my favourite out off all the artists I have researched.

"The sculptures I create focus on human psychology – stripped of context and rationalization, and articulated through animal and human forms".
This is just apart of a statement of her work on her web site. I can't compare this artists work wit anyone's but her work is realistic with a twist. I also think her statement is well write and worth a look.

"Gravity in this context serves as a metaphor for personal responsibility, and the stress we encounter in present society".

This is a small part of his statement, I like his concept and I think his statement is well written. I can't relate anybody's work to his.
